PostSubject: Alcohol promotions....   Alcohol promotions.... EmptyWed Sep 09, 2009 1:33 pm

Now im known for liking a drink or two but i have to say im quite discusted with tesco's and this whole spend 30.00 get 5.00 voucher for a crate of lager or cider.

I know money doesnt go far but surely thats promoting binge drinking?????

I am actually a wine drinker but i did buy a crate for when my friends come over but when i put it on my shopping it gave me another cos i spent 30.00.

Also the clubcard vouchers can be doubled for baby stuff or alcohol??????

Just seems wrong in my eyes.

Anyone else? x

You know what I completely agree with you.

I don't drink alcohol at all, but I don't hold it against others who like to have a drink.

But I see YP at work who binge drink at 12/13 years old and it makes me feel sick. Alcohol does not need to be promoted in my opinion. It's nice to get a special offer on a bottle of wine, but when it is promoting crates of the stuff, it's not right.

This has thrown me actually. When I saw the promotion I thought it was great..... but now you have spoken of it like that... does shed new light on it.

Although, i think with the Tesco one, the fact that you have to spend £30 instore first does make it slighty different
